POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates commitment to company's mission, values and standards of ethical behavior. Provides assistance to co-workers and promotes teamwork by sharing information useful to achieving desired results. Ensures that all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, and their rights are protected at all times. Respects and upholds all residents' personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room. Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Ensures that dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies, production sheets and recipes, including the use of adaptive devices per instructions. Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance. Sets-up tray cards, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed for meal service. Assists in ensuring that meals are prepared and delivered on time and at proper temperature.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESQUALIFICATIONS
Previous dietary experience in acute or long term care environment preferred Completion of Food Handling training and certification Commitment to the company mission to consistently deliver high quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, compassion and integrity, and to enrich every life we touch.
