The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, meal preparation in a healthcare setting, and a commitment to food safety. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans. Ensure all food safety standards are met, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes that enhance our offerings. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs for restocking as necessary. Requirements Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Proficient in meal preparation techniques and culinary skills. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
