Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment, and educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies.

Responsibilities:

4 days/wk x-ray license RDA license Some front desk cross training

• Prepare patients for dental work
• Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Make impressions of patients' teeth for study casts
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
• Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer

Skills:

• Proficient in taking vital signs
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
• Competent in X-Ray and medical imaging procedures
• Experience with Dentrix software is a plus
• Knowledge of endodontic procedures This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
