Full Job Description Job Title:
Dietary Aide (Full-Time)
Shift:
AM Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Schedule:
Weekdays with rotating weekends
Pay Range:
$19.50 - $21.00 per hour Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our culinary team. You will assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals to our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. This full-time morning position is perfect for an early bird who enjoys making a meaningful difference in people's lives every day.
Key Responsibilities Meal Prep:
Assist cooks with basic food preparation and portioning.
Tray Assembly:
Set up dining rooms and assemble resident meal trays according to specific dietary plans.
Food Service:
Serve meals and beverages to residents politely and efficiently.
Sanitation:
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashers or standard three-compartment sinks.
Cleaning:
Clean and sanitize workstations, counters, dining tables, and kitchen equipment.
Stocking:
Receive, label, and store food supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and pantries.
Compliance:
Follow all local health department regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Previous food service or dietary experience in a healthcare or senior living setting is preferred but not required.
Certifications:
Food Handler's Permit (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
Communication:
Ability to read, write, and follow spoken English instructions.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
Reliability:
Punctual attendance for early morning shifts starting at 6:00 AM.
Teamwork:
