This energetic position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of residents in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will assist with food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and ensuring dietary needs are met with precision and compassion. Duties Prepare and assemble meals according to dietary guidelines and patient preferences, ensuring accuracy and quality. Serve meals to patients in a courteous and timely manner, maintaining excellent customer service standards. Assist with food handling, sanitation, cleaning, bussing tables, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness to meet food safety regulations. Support the dietary department by organizing supplies, stocking food items, and managing inventory efficiently. Follow proper food safety procedures during food production and serving to prevent contamination or spoilage. Aid in meal delivery across wards while adhering to scheduled times and special dietary restrictions. Contribute to a safe environment by maintaining sanitation standards and assisting with kitchen sanitation practices. Make reassurance calls to seniors in an effort to eliminate feelings of isolation and loneliness, and enter information into C-Star Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable. Culinary experience or background in food preparation and service is preferred. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols essential for maintaining hygiene standards. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach toward residents and staff. Experience working within dietary or nutrition departments is a plus. Ability to follow detailed instructions regarding meal plans and dietary restrictions.
