Job Title:
Dietary Aide Job Description The Dietary Aide supports daily food service operations to ensure residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals that meet dietary needs and facility standards. Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation following menus and dietary guidelines. Portion and plate meals according to diet orders. Deliver trays to residents and assist with setup as needed. Collect and clean trays after meals. Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, dining, and food-service areas. Follow food safety and infection-control procedures. Communicate with nursing staff regarding resident dietary needs or concerns. Assist with inventory, stocking, and basic kitchen tasks. Provide friendly, respectful service to residents, families, and staff. Essential Skills Food preparation. Foodservice. Tray line. Dishwashing. Food service worker. Prep food. Line cook. Cleaning. Customer service. Food prep. Grill cook. Banquet. Waiter. Restaurant experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced environment. Ability to stand, walk, and lift light items throughout the shift. Reliability. Teamwork. Attention to detail. Work Environment 1st or 2nd shift, scheduled for 8-hour days from 6 am to 2:30 pm or 11:30 am to 8 pm. Includes rotating weekends and holidays. When fully staffed, you'll work with 8-10 teammates at a time. There is very little patient interaction as most tasks involve assembling trays and delivering them to assigned floors. The kitchen can be very hot in the summer, reaching up to 100 degrees with the ovens on. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ebensburg, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
