Dietary Aide Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center of Deland DeLand, FL Job Details Part-time $15 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center of Deland is looking for a Part-Time Dietary Aide, where you'll play an integral role in providing nutritional support and enhancing the dining experience for our residents. Your responsibilities will encompass meal preparation, serving, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring sanitation, and contributing to a welcoming environment within our facility.
Responsibilities:
Participate in meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines, accommodating individual dietary restrictions and preferences. Serve meals to residents promptly and courteously, adhering to portion sizes and prescribed diets. Ensure dining areas and kitchen are clean and organized by clearing tables, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and maintaining orderly work stations. Engage with residents respectfully, addressing concerns or special meal requests with a friendly demeanor. Monitor food temperatures to guarantee safe storage and serving, and maintain records as required. Assist in inventory management, including reporting shortages and rotating stock. Follow strict safety and sanitation protocols to uphold the highest standards of food handling, storage, and dishwashing. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing education to stay informed about dietary regulations and best practices. Provide excellent customer service, exemplifying commitment to residents' quality of life.
Qualifications:
Preferred previous experience in food service or a similar role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues. Team-oriented mindset and adaptability to changing priorities. Basic math skills for portioning and calculating meal requirements. Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks. Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude. Must be able to work weekends
