Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) - Jacksonville, FL We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to join our team in the Jacksonville area. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Meet the physical and sensory requirements of the position and work effectively in the designated environment. Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction, workflow efficiency, and the work environment. Manage dietary department staff, including hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and, when necessary, disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy. Ensure all employment practices are administered fairly and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Participate in scheduled meetings, including department head meetings and interdisciplinary care plan conferences. Purchase food and supplies within budget while maintaining adequate inventory for daily operations. Provide leadership and technical guidance in diet planning, menu development, food preparation, and service of regular and therapeutic diets. Collaborate with the Dietary Consultant to ensure menus meet nutritional standards and regulatory requirements. Interview residents and/or family members to obtain dietary histories and preferences. Maintain accurate records of residents' food preferences, likes, and dislikes. Ensure dietary documentation, including progress notes, assessments, MDS sections, care plans, and related forms, is completed timely and accurately in compliance with regulations. Conduct routine resident visits to assess meal quality, satisfaction, and service. Ensure meals are nutritious, well-prepared, appetizing, and served timely in accordance with prescribed diet orders. Monitor food production, storage, and service using standardized recipes and safe food-handling practices. Maintain compliance with sanitation, infection control, safety, and disaster preparedness regulations. Develop and implement plans of correction following state, federal, or QA surveys as needed. Manage departmental budgets, records, and supplies. Ensure dietary equipment and work areas are clean, safe, and properly maintained. Recognize and support staff performance through ongoing feedback and evaluations. Orient new team members and participate in recruitment and selection efforts. Create and enforce procedures ensuring equipment is operated safely by trained personnel. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Job Requirements Must be a Certified Dietary Manager in accordance with state regulatory requirements. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required. Minimum of three (3) years of related experience . One (1) to two (2) years of supervisory or management experience required. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet navigation. Demonstrated professionalism with a strong commitment to confidentiality. Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization. Customer-service focused with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to change.
