Responsibilities Serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards, ensuring timely delivery to residents or patients Assist with food production tasks such as plating, and setting up meal trays while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation protocols Support the dietary department by handling food handling procedures, cleaning kitchen equipment, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure food safety compliance Buss tables, clean dining areas, and assist with general kitchen cleanliness to promote a hygienic environment Help with food storage, inventory management, and proper labeling of ingredients to support efficient food service operations Provide friendly customer service by attending to residents' or patients' needs during mealtime with patience and professionalism Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen operations to uphold health regulations Requirements Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is highly desirable Strong time management skills to handle meal schedules efficiently while maintaining quality standards Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting supplies, and cleaning duties Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward residents or patients Familiarity with kitchen experience including cooking, serving, bussing, sanitation practices, and food handling regulations is a plus Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is appreciated Join us in creating a caring environment where nutrition meets compassion!
