Opening its doors in 2013 and expanding in 2017, this state-of-the-art acute care facility has 177 patient rooms and offers a wide variety of services to meet community needs. Cleveland Clinic understands that keeping up with nutritional needs is essential to staying well. As a Dietary Aide, you help us support patient health by ensuring proper food handling and transportation. It will be your goal to ensure patients receive their meals in a timely manner and care is taken regarding dietary restrictions and food safety. In this role, you can gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting, all while making a difference in the lives of patients every day. A caregiver in this position works 8-hour shifts , Monday-Friday, between 6: 3 0AM - 8:30PM , including rotating weekend s and holidays , as needed . The schedule is provided two weeks in advance. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events. Accurately set up and deliver patient trays and nourishments. Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items. Demonstrate working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets. Follow department standards and procedures. Utilize and rotate food products, appropriately store leftovers and label and date food items. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma or GED Six months of experience in food service
