Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in a nursing home environment. The Dietary Aide will assist in meal preparation, ensure cleanliness in the kitchen, and support the dietary needs of our residents. This role is essential in maintaining a high standard of nutrition and food safety for our residents. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Ensure that all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Support the culinary team by performing various kitchen tasks, including food prep, cooking, and plating meals. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with stocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with nursing staff to understand residents' dietary restrictions and preferences. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food service and safety protocols. Experience Previous experience in food handling or food service is preferred, particularly within a nursing home or healthcare setting. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary practices is advantageous. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain a clean workspace while adhering to sanitation standards. A passion for providing quality care through nutrition is essential for success in this role.
