The employee will be trained to perform both dietary aide and cook positions. The available hours/shifts are as follows: Part Time - Weekend availability and cooking experience in assisted living setting

We will train a suitable applicant with an aptitude for the position. We offer good wages for work in a well-appointed kitchen. Students often apply. We also employ persons who are looking to add part-time hours to their daily routine or full-time employees who want to add additional hours to their work week. The kitchen is well appointed and the position is supported by a corporate Culinary Director and the Property Administrator. Employment details for both cook and dietary aide are referenced below.COOK - SENIOR LIVING FACILITY
Compensation:
Competitive package of salary and benefits. Available full-time benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and holiday, sick and vacation. Wages start at $13.00 per hour.- This position will be responsible for cooking lunch and dinner in a licensed commercial kitchen in a senior living facility.
- This position is responsible for using predetermined, approved menus, associated ingredient designations and advance census enrollments in the process of meal preparation and food ordering.
- This position is responsible for establishing a dining rapport with the resident population and building the dining census.
- This position is responsible for managing assigned dietary aides.
COOK Primary Duties:
- Meal preparation for two meals and determination of staffing requirements.
- Ordering food and managing inventory.
- Plating food, coordination of clearing and cleaning after meal service.
- Managing dietary staff.
- Managing food service budget through increased meal participation, controlling food costs and managing staffing levels.
- Coordination of kitchen operations in conjunction with the culinary director and the facility administrator.
COOK Education/Training/Experience:
- Experience in food service industry - cooking.
- Servsafe certification preferred.
COOK Skills and Abilities:
- Applicant should have demonstrated analytic skills for meal preparation and food ordering.
DIETARY AIDE - SENIOR LIVING FACILITY

- This position is responsible for following proper customer service practices
- This position is responsible for clearing and cleaning after meal service
- This position is responsible for assisting the cook with duties as assigned
- This position reports to the cook and building administrator.
DIETARY AIDE
Primary Duties:
- Setting tables prior to meal service
- Serving meal plate service and beverages
- Utilizing proper courtesy and customer service practices with respect to elderly clientele
- Clearing and cleaning after meal service
- Washing table clothes as needed
- Vacuuming and cleaning the dining area proper
- Washing and returning dishes and silverware to storage
- Assisting the cook with other duties as assigned
DIETARY AIDE
Education/Training/Experience:
- Good work ethic
- Basic understanding of kitchen and meal service protocols

Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to follow meal service instructions and communicate effectively with supervisor, co-employees and residents
- Ability to effectively relate to and communicate with elderly clientele
