Windermere Animal Hospital is looking for a dependable, self-motivated Part-Time Kennel Attendant to join our caring team. Our Kennel Attendants play an important role in keeping boarding and hospitalized pets safe, comfortable, clean, and well cared for. From feeding and medications to exercise and observation, you'll help make sure every pet receives compassionate, attentive care while they're with us. Why Our Kennel Attendants Love It Here Spend your shifts providing hands-on care to animals Work alongside a supportive and caring veterinary team Build valuable animal-handling and patient-care skills Make a meaningful difference for boarding and hospitalized pets Learn and grow through hands-on experience and professional development Enjoy a consistent part-time schedule centered around every other weekend and holidays What Our Kennel Attendants Do Provide compassionate daily care for boarding and hospitalized patients Walk, feed, and provide fresh water to pets according to their individual care plans Administer medications accurately as directed Monitor pets closely for signs of distress, illness, discomfort, or behavioral changes Communicate patient concerns promptly to the appropriate veterinary team member Maintain clean and comfortable kennels, cages, and boarding areas Vacuum, mop, clean cages, and complete necessary facility sanitation Safely handle and move pets using gentle, compassionate techniques Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment What You'll Bring A genuine love for animals and commitment to compassionate care Dependability and availability to work every other weekend and holidays Strong attention to detail A self-motivated approach and ability to work independently Confidence and dexterity to administer medications as directed Ability to recognize and report signs of distress or changes in a pet's condition Sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to safely lift and move heavier pets and objects Comfort with cleaning and sanitation, which are essential parts of this position A willingness to learn and continue developing your animal-care skills A positive, team-focused attitude The Extras You'll Actually Feel Kennel care is about much more than keeping spaces clean.
