Job Description

The Position Minden Medical Center is seeking a well-organized, energetic Diet Aide / Cook/ Baker/ Float to support our Food & Nutrition Services team and help ensure patients and staff receive safe, high-quality meal service. This role exists to provide reliable coverage across the department and to keep storage areas inspection-ready. Key responsibilities include filling open schedule needs due to illness or vacation and completing the assigned station's duties; organizing and maintaining the walk-in cooler/freezer and dry storage with clear date-marking, FIFO rotation, and EOC compliance; maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas; completing the daily deep-cleaning task sheet; and working cooperatively with the FSS/FSD, peers, patients, and hospital staff while following uniform, PPE, ID badge, and timekeeping expectations.

During quieter moments, you'll reset and straighten storage spaces so products are easy to find and ready for the next service. Throughout the shift, you'll follow department standards, document tasks as required, and wrap up by confirming the area is ready for the next team member—leaving things clean, orderly, and prepared for the next day.
