TESCO, Inc. is looking for a dietary aide to join our team in Falmouth, MA. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable. Shift

  • 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM Pay
  • $20•$22/hour Position Summary Provide support in all food service operations in accordance with established food safety, sanitation, and nutritional guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Meal Preparation & Service:

Prepare and serve meals accurately according to established portion control standards and specific patient/resident dietary requirements.

Dietary Order Management:

Review incoming diet orders and updates (digital, phone, or printed) and process dietary modifications promptly. Communicate meal changes, special requests, and discharges to kitchen staff and line cooks.

Sanitation & Maintenance:

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation compliant with health and safety regulations. Collect food carts, strip meal trays, wash dishes, and properly dispose of food and waste according to facility policy.

Nourishment Delivery:

Prepare and deliver daily snacks, refreshments, and floor stock to unit pantries.

Communication & Compliance:

Handle phone, intercom, and digital requests professionally. Safeguard patient privacy by adhering to HIPAA regulations, protecting Protected Health Information (PHI), and reporting any unauthorized disclosures immediately.

General Duties:

Perform additional food service tasks and operational support duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements Communication:

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently to follow oral/written instructions and communicate effectively with staff and residents.

Interpersonal Skills:

Tactful, patient, empathetic, and adaptable when interacting with residents, visitors, and interdisciplinary team members.

Problem-Solving & Initiative:

Ability to make sound independent decisions when necessary and openness to adopting improved food service practices.

Physical & Health Standards:

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Meets physical/sensory requirements to operate kitchen equipment and stand/walk for extended shifts. Must maintain health and safety standards without posing a direct threat to others in the workplace.

$20.00
