Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aides to join our team in a Long Term Care setting. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and service, ensuring that all dietary needs are met for patients. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment while providing excellent service to our patients and staff. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines. Help with bussing tables and cleaning dining areas after meals. Ensure all food items are stored properly and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas. Sanitate kitchen equipment and utensils to adhere to health and safety standards. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely meal delivery. Support dietary staff in managing special dietary needs of patients. Maintain inventory of food supplies and report any shortages or issues. Requirements Previous experience in food service or as a Dietary Aide is preferred. Knowledge of dietary practices, nutrition, and food safety regulations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Willingness to learn about culinary techniques and dietetics. Physical ability to lift, carry, and move food items as needed. Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
