Job Description
Brookside Rehab is a small independently owned facility located in Webster. We offer services for short term rehab and long term care. We are currently looking for a Part time Dietary Aide / Cook in our Dietary department. Dietary aid hours are primarily afternoon shift 3P-7P. Some mornings may be available. During shifts as a Cook, will be in charge of kitchen and 2 other staff members, so candidate should have experience supervising employees. Hours for the cook are 11 a.m to 6:30 pm. We prefer applicants to have some experience in an institutional, rehabilitation or nursing home setting, but will consider a candidate with comparable experience. Expected duties include but are not limited to: Safe food handling, Food preparation in accordance with facility's prepared menus and dietary restrictions, Prepares food items/ ensures safe food handling practices, Willing and able to use institutional equipment for food preparation, Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Able to read, write, and understand the proper diet language. Able to work well with residents, staff and supervisors. Good communication/interpersonal skills.
