Overview Join our dedicated dietary team as a Dietary Aide, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents in assisted living and nursing home environments. In this vital role, you will support the food service operations by assisting with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment. Your positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service will help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills while contributing to the well-being of our community members. Duties Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards Serve meals to residents with professionalism, kindness, and attention to individual dietary needs Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, dining areas, and food handling stations through regular sanitation and cleaning procedures Support food safety protocols by properly handling, storing, and labeling food items Buss tables, clear trays, and ensure dining areas are tidy before, during, and after meal service Help with food inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying staff of shortages or needs Follow all sanitation regulations to uphold a safe environment for residents and staff Requirements Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices Strong time management skills to efficiently support meal times and kitchen operations Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting trays or supplies, and cleaning duties Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents and team members Familiarity with food preparation, serving techniques, and kitchen equipment is advantageous Experience in dietary department functions or culinary experience is a plus but not required Join us in creating a compassionate environment where nutritious meals are served with care! Pay:
$16.37 - $18.50 per hour
