The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and a passion for culinary arts, particularly within assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings. This role involves preparing nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements while ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are upheld. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Assist in meal planning and menu development to accommodate residents' dietary needs. Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness in the kitchen area. Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Collaborate with the dietary department to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction. Serve meals to residents, ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation. Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas post-service. Support the dietary aide team with bussing tables and managing dining room operations. Adhere to all safety protocols while working in the kitchen environment. Requirements Previous experience in food service or culinary roles, preferably in assisted living or nursing home settings. Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal preparation schedules. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff. Familiarity with dietary guidelines and meal preparation techniques. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Experience with cooking, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen standards is essential.
