Role:
The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in supporting the nutritional and dietary needs of residents within healthcare facilities. This position ensures that meals are prepared, served, and delivered in a timely and sanitary manner, adhering strictly to dietary guidelines and infection control protocols. The Dietary Aide collaborates closely with dietary staff and healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences, enhancing the overall well-being of residents. Attention to detail and patience are essential to effectively follow both written and oral instructions, ensuring accuracy and safety in food service operations. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately. Basic knowledge of food service and infection control practices. Demonstrated patience and ability to relate positively with residents and team members. Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in assisted living or healthcare dietary services. Certification in food handling or safety (e.g., ServSafe). Familiarity with special dietary needs such as diabetic or low-sodium diets. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Basic understanding of nutrition and dietary guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established dietary plans and safety standards. Follow detailed oral and written instructions to ensure compliance with food safety and infection control protocols. Deliver meals to residents in a courteous and timely manner, accommodating individual dietary needs and preferences.
