Role:
The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals that meet their dietary needs. This position involves working closely with the kitchen staff and healthcare team to prepare and serve meals in accordance with established dietary guidelines. The Dietary Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe food service environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Additionally, this role requires effective communication with residents to understand their preferences and dietary restrictions. Ultimately, the Dietary Aide contributes to the overall well-being and satisfaction of residents through quality food service and compassionate care.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in food service or dietary settings preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in food safety or sanitation. Previous experience working in assisted living or healthcare environments.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Follow written and oral instructions from supervisors regarding meal preparation and service. Communicate effectively with residents to understand their dietary needs and preferences. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient meal service and address any resident concerns.
