Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the dietary department, ensuring that all meals are prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and dietary guidelines. This position requires a passion for food service and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation that meets the nutritional needs of our clients. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary requirements. Ensure all food preparation and production adheres to food safety standards and regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, considering dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food service areas. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal production and service. Provide excellent customer service by responding to resident inquiries regarding meal options. Manage time effectively to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or food service environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients and staff. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with meal preparation, food production processes, and culinary standards is desirable. High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification is a plus.
