The Gardens of Statesville is seeking a dependable and compassionate team member to support our nutrition services operations and help ensure residents and patients receive high-quality meals and attentive service. In this role, you will contribute to a positive dining experience by assisting with meal preparation, tray assembly, delivery, and cleanup while following established safety and sanitation procedures. Responsibilities Assist with preparing and serving meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines. Assemble meal trays accurately and ensure special diet orders are followed. Deliver meals to residents or patients in a timely and courteous manner. Collect trays and transport dishware and food service items to the proper area. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and dining spaces. Support inventory organization, stocking, and basic food storage tasks. Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation standards. Communicate professionally with residents, patients, visitors, and team members. Assist with additional kitchen or dining room duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous food service, hospitality, or healthcare experience is helpful but not required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Professional, courteous, and team-oriented communication skills. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate weights throughout a shift. Dependable attendance and flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed.
