In this vital role, you will prepare nutritious, appealing meals while ensuring the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service. Your attention to detail will contribute to creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel cared for and valued every day. Responsibilities Assist in food preparation and cooking, following established recipes and dietary guidelines to meet residents' nutritional needs. Serve meals with professionalism, ensuring proper portioning and presentation that delights residents. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including food handling, cleaning, bussing, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations. Support the dietary department by organizing supplies, managing food storage, and ensuring all food safety protocols are followed diligently. Assist with meal delivery and setup in dining areas, providing friendly customer service to residents and staff alike. Help with food inventory management. Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, cooking, sanitation, and kitchen equipment operation to promote a safe working environment. Record meal intakes through PCC Cleaning of dining room and dishes. Experience Previous experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is highly preferred. Background in food production or the food industry. Experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals or nursing homes enhances your ability to meet dietary needs. Demonstrated skills in time management, food preparation, serving, and maintaining high standards of food safety are essential. Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities including food handling, sanitation practices, and meal service will support your success in this role.
