Week Shift Details:
Primary shift is 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., with occasional 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. shifts. Rotating weekends and holidays are required.

Nutritional Services Job Summary The Dietary Aide is cross-trained to perform tray line and dishwashing functions. Tray line personnel are responsible for the set-up of the patient and staff tray line following posted or individual menus. They are responsible for placing appropriate food and condiments on patient trays and also the cleanliness of the tray line area. Dishwashers are responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of patient and staff meal trays, utensils, dishes, pots, pans and equipment utilized in the preparation and service of food. Essential Functions Tray Line Function Review and check diet order list obtained from the nurse's station, making the necessary changes in diets and notifying the cook as to the changes made.

Set up the tray line and check prior to meal service to assure that it is ready for efficient and complete service of trays.

Check food to ensure proper temperature for service.

Keep the tray line sanitary and neat throughout the break or mealtime service.

Work the charging station/cash register in the tray line area of the cafeteria.

Place food on trays according to menu and diet regulations.

Handle food and equipment in accordance with the sanitary practices of the dietary department.

Serve late or hold trays; deliver food carts to suites.

Serve snacks or between meal nourishment as required by the patient and as stipulated in the diet order for that patient.

Clean up tray line area after meal service or tray service.

Dispose of or store leftover food in accordance with accepted procedures.

May assist cook in general food preparation for menu items.

May assist dishwasher in after meal clean-up of dishes.

Is responsible for the upkeep of the dining room (i.e., cleaning tables, removing dirty dishes and filling condiment holders).Performs other related duties as assigned. Dishwashing Function Set up of the loader position on the tray line for patient meal service.

Prepare and assembling containers for beverages to be served to patients.

Place the appropriate beverage on the patient tray in accordance with the prescribed dietary restriction.

Load the patient trays into the food carts and delivering the food carts to the suites.

Deliver nourishments to outpatient areas as ordered.

Pick up the food carts containing soiled dishes and utensils and returning them to the dishwashing area for proper sanitizing.

Unpack and put away groceries.

Clean and sanitize of all food preparation and service equipment, including the food carts, from all meals served and between meal nourishments.

All other related duties as assigned.
