Job Title:
Dietary Aide Are you a motivated, detail-oriented team player with a passion for serving up fresh, healthy meals? Join our team as a Dietary Aide and play a pivotal role in helping meet the nutritional needs of our patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:
Assemble food and beverage items for patient tray service Set up, service, cashier, clean up, and sanitize for meal service in the cafeteria Answer telephone and deliver patient trays as needed to out-patient services Take daily inventory and stock items needed in patient unit kitchens Sort, rinse, load, wash, unload, stack, and put away dishes Perform routine cleaning duties as assigned Assist cooks with minor food prep duties and/or service as needed
What We're Looking For:
Required:
High School Graduate or equivalent Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and general public Ability to service medical staff and general public in the cafeteria Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff regarding patients' dietary requirements Ability to prioritize workload and to work with minimal supervision Experience with computers, cash registers, and various kitchen equipment
Preferred:
6 months to 1 year of cafeteria or restaurant experience preferred Why Join Speare Memorial Hospital?
