Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated dietary team as a Dietary Aide, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will play a vital role in providing exceptional nutritional care to our residents. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist with meal service, food preparation, sanitation, and overall support within the dietary department. Your positive attitude and commitment to food safety will ensure a welcoming environment that promotes health and well-being for our residents in our Adult Home setting. Responsibilities Assist with food production and meal preparation to ensure timely and accurate service for residents. Serve meals with courtesy and professionalism, ensuring proper portioning and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning kitchen equipment, dining areas, and food handling surfaces. Support food handling procedures in accordance with safety regulations to prevent contamination. Help with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and setting up dining areas for meal times. Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage, temperature control, and sanitation practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to support efficient meal delivery and resident satisfaction. Skills Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, serving, and sanitation standards. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy meal periods. Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with dietary department procedures and food safety regulations. Demonstrated customer service skills to interact positively with residents and staff. Prior dietary aide or culinary experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
