As a Dietary Aide in this role, you will support the Patient Food Services area and ensure the patients have clean dishes to eat off of , so they can heal and return home. On our team, our goal is to create a healing environment and nutritious food — just like our patients have come to expect. A caregiver in this position works evenings from 2:00PM - 8:30PM or days from 7:00AM - 1:30PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events. Accurately set up and deliver patient trays and nourishments. Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items. Demonstrate working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets. Follow department standards and procedures. Utilize and rotate food products, appropriately store leftovers and label and date food items. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High S chool D iploma or GED Six months of experience in food service Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Previous dishwashing experience
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Ability to reach with hands and arms. Ability to talk and hear. Frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus also required.
