Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our healthcare team. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation, portioning, and serving of meals according to prescribed dietary guidelines and safety standards. Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations and sanitation protocols, including cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and dining areas. Support the dietary department by adhering to specific dietary requirements for residents, including special diets such as low sodium, diabetic, or texture-modified foods. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following proper manual handling and safe lifting practices for heavy lifting tasks. Maintain accurate documentation related to food production, serving times, and inventory levels. Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and ensuring a sanitary environment for residents and staff. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Qualifications Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and adhering to workplace safety protocols. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for portion control and inventory management. Excellent customer service skills with a respectful approach toward residents' needs. Experience working with geriatric patients or in dietary departments is advantageous.
