Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dietary Cook to join our team in providing high-quality meal preparation in a nursing home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in meal and food preparation, and will be committed to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appealing meals tailored to their dietary needs. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Assist with meal planning and ensure all meals meet nutritional standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling practices. Buss tables and assist with serving meals to residents as needed. Collaborate with nursing staff to accommodate special dietary requirements or restrictions. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards. Experience Previous experience as a cook in the food industry is preferred, especially in a nursing home or similar environment. Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and nursing staff. A passion for helping others through quality meal preparation is essential for success in this role.
