Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to oversee the nutritional care of our residents in an assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for promoting health and wellness through proper nutrition. This role involves managing dietary services, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and providing health coaching to residents. The Dietary Manager will work closely with healthcare teams to create individualized care plans that meet the dietary needs of our residents. Duties Develop and implement individualized dietary care plans based on patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations. Supervise dietary staff, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards while promoting teamwork and effective communication. Conduct regular assessments of residents' nutritional needs, including tube feeding and other specialized diets as required. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into overall patient care strategies. Provide health coaching to residents, educating them on nutrition-related topics to enhance their well-being. Maintain accurate records of dietary services, including meal plans, resident preferences, and compliance documentation. Manage inventory of food supplies and ensure proper storage and preparation methods are followed. Experience Proven experience in dietary management within an assisted living or healthcare setting is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively. Knowledge of nutrition principles, care plans, patient assessment techniques, and diagnostic evaluation processes. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Certification in dietary management or related field is a plus but not mandatory.
