11:00 AM - 7:30 PM About Martha Franks Retirement Community & Oakdale Seniors Alliance Martha Franks Retirement Community is located in historic Laurens, SC, dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care across independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing/rehabilitation. Martha Franks Retirement Community is owned and managed by Oakdale Seniors Alliance. Under Oakdale Seniors Alliance leadership, we foster a supportive, team-oriented work environment that values our culinary team and prioritizes a great dining experience for our residents. Position Overview We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-minded Dietary Aide (FT) to join our Culinary team for the 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM shift. In this role, you will assist in meal setup, tray preparation, dining room service, and kitchen sanitation. You will play a vital part in ensuring our residents receive delicious, nutritious meals served with warmth and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities Meal Prep & Tray Line:
Set up dining rooms and tray assembly lines, portion foods according to prescribed resident diets, and deliver meals promptly.
Resident Service:
Serve residents in the dining room with courtesy and attention to personal dining preferences and dietary restrictions.
Sanitation & Cleanliness:
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils; sanitize tables, prep stations, and dining equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
Stock & Inventory:
Restock dining supplies, food carts, and beverage stations as needed throughout the shift.
Teamwork:
Work collaboratively with cooks, the Dietary Director, and nursing staff to ensure meal service runs smoothly and on schedule.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or senior living dietary departments is a plus, but not required (on-the-job training provided!).
Knowledge:
Familiarity with basic food safety, hygiene regulations, or modified therapeutic diets (e.g., pureed, low-sodium) is preferred.
Skills:
Strong customer service skills, reliable attendance, physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods, and a positive attitude.
