Job Summary Join our dedicated dietary team as a Dietary Aide/Cook, where you'll play a vital role in delivering nutritious, delicious meals to residents in assisted living and nursing home environments. This energetic position combines food preparation, service, and sanitation duties to ensure a safe and welcoming dining experience. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will contribute to the well-being and satisfaction of our residents, fostering a warm community atmosphere every day. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble meals according to dietary guidelines, menus, and safety standards, ensuring timely delivery for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks Assist with food production tasks such as chopping, portioning, cooking, and plating dishes with precision and care Serve residents in a courteous manner, maintaining excellent customer service and respecting individual dietary needs Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas by sanitizing surfaces, washing dishes, and properly disposing of waste to uphold sanitation standards Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning utensils, and assisting with food handling procedures in compliance with food safety regulations Follow proper food handling protocols to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of all meals prepared and served Manage time efficiently during busy meal periods to meet service deadlines while maintaining quality standards Requirements Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred Demonstrated culinary experience with skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures aligned with health regulations Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak meal times Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate courteously with residents and team members Familiarity with dietary guidelines specific to healthcare or senior living environments is a plus Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Join us in creating nourishing experiences that make a difference!
