Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in a nursing home environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals that cater to their dietary needs. This position is perfect for individuals who have a passion for food preparation and a desire to help others. Duties Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Ensure that all kitchen areas are kept clean, organized, and sanitized at all times. Help with the setup and breakdown of dining areas before and after meals. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene. Support residents during meal times, ensuring they receive the assistance they need. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager. Participate in training sessions related to dietary practices and food service protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and dietary needs is a plus. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and organization in the kitchen environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary. Excellent communication skills, with a friendly demeanor towards residents and staff alike.
