Full Job Description Culinary Specialist Overview:

The Monarch Community is seeking a compassionate and skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the well-being of our residents. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving delicious and nutritious meals for 60+ residents, ensuring they receive a well-balanced and healthy diet. This role requires a combination of culinary expertise, a passion for healthy eating, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and cook three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for 60 residents, adhering to established menus and dietary specifications. Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas before, during, and after shifts Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment Maintain cleanliness of prep stations, ovens, grills, refrigerators, and storage areas Dispose of trash and recycling properly Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation, ensuring meals are visually appealing and appetizing. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment following all health and safety regulations. Manage and maintain a well-stocked inventory of ingredients proactively to prevent stockouts. Prioritize food safety by adhering to strict sanitation procedures and ensuring proper handling and storage of food. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents and team members.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cook or Chef in a professional kitchen setting. Strong understanding of dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate various nutritional needs. In-depth knowledge of food safety principles and safe food handling practices. Proficient in kitchen equipment operation and sanitation procedures. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to contribute to the well-being of residents.
