Our patients are our guests and we are the front line of their eating experience. Nutrition Ambassadors guide the patient to both their healthful and palatable meal dining decisions. They reassure the patients that, although they may be in a situation where their eating requires more mindfulness, the experience will eventually guide them to advancing their health through food for the brighter future to come. We have openings for FT Nutrition Ambassador/Diet Aide in a surgical hospital in the Lubbock area. Basic job duties include, but are not limited to: Taking patient meal orders Preparing and passing patient meal trays Washing dishes, general kitchen duties Stocking of inventory Maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions within the department at all times Ensuring patient safety, patient satisfaction and complete confidentiality of information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

Excellent customer service skills Excellent time management skills Experience in similar position in a healthcare setting preferred but not required Fluent in English Have a willingness to learn Have a valid Food Handler's Card (or obtain within 30 days of hire) Must have flexible availability including weekends and holidays The qualified candidate should be organized, a self-starter, detail oriented, punctual and have good people skills. The qualified candidate should demonstrate a positive, encouraging and teamwork attitude. The qualified candidate must maintain a professional appearance.
