A Dietary Aide works in kitchens such as hospital kitchens where cooking is done to meet specific dietary requirements. Assists with food preparation and other tasks.
Must be familiar with the operation of food service equipment. Must have a working knowledge of food sanitation; knows acceptable techniques in handling and service of food to guests. Delivers food carts to patient floors in specified order; returns carts to dish room at designated times. Wash certain items by hand, such as pots and pans and knows operation of dish machine. Consistently shows concern for cleanliness of work area. Has responsibilities during tray line assembly process. Must help maintain floors clean and must assist with overall kitchen cleanliness. Knows how to lift properly and how to avoid careless kitchen related accidents. Has common kitchen safety knowledge. Qualifications
