They work closely with Dietitians, providing them details on allergies or restrictions to create plans accordingly. Prepare food according to instructions while adhering strictly to safety and health standards. Uses strong attention to detail for all meal preparation to ensure patients receive appropriate food and nutritional needs. Applies effective communication skills since they work directly with patients, Dietitians, and other medical professionals. Dietary Aids work with patients to ensure they get the nutrition they need throughout the day. Guided by a lead Dietitian or Chef who oversees the distribution of food and drinks to patients throughout the shift. Duties Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service, including serving food under the guidance of the Chef or Dietitian. Deliver dishes, trays, and designated times and rooms. Assist in setting up and clearing up dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order Includes dish, tray, trash, leftover removals. Follow all sanitation guidelines, federal / state regulations, and Senior Living / Healthcare requirements. Maintain cleanliness of prep items. Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled and/or needed. Provide customer service and hospitality during nutrition delivery.
