Job Description

The Meadows is looking for a friendly outgoing person to assist the dietary dept with our food service. Below is a basic job description covering essential job duties(not all inclusive). Please feel free to email with any questions regarding the position, we look forward to hearing from you.
SCOPE & PURPOSE
Responsible for assisting with the food service delivery system including but not limited to beverage service, meal service, clean up and dish washing.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Pre-pare and set up for food service which includes, but is not limited to: Checking the number of daily participants Set appropriate number of tables and place settings Place plates in the warming oven and salad plates in the refrigerator Ensure coffee is made and that there is ice water at each place setting and hot water for tea Serve the food at the direction of Chef, Dining Manager or Cook as applicable. Continue to assess the beverage needs throughout meal service. Address individual tenant or guest requests as presented. Involve Chef or other support staff if needed. Clear each place setting when meals are completed and run the dishwasher. Put dishes away following dish washing and return kitchen to clean and orderly state. Vacuum dining area, wash tables, and return dining room to its original state. Serve and clear meals with a kind, courteous and accommodating demeanor. Any other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Basic knowledge of dining practices. Good attention to detail; keen eye for cleanliness.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school degree or equivalent preferred.

None
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Inside Prolonged or repeated standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
