Full Job Description Director of Dietary Services Salary:
$60,000 to $70,000 depending on experience River Park Post Acute is looking for a Director of Dietary Services to help transform the lives of our rehabilitation and long term care patients. For many of our patients and residents, food is central to a healthy and happy lifestyle and we are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering quality meals and dignifying the lives of those we serve. A great candidate should be well versed in managing and leading a team to great outcomes and understand the unique dietary regulations specific to Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care. Responsibilities/requirements below:
Certified Dining Manager (CDM) highly preferred. 3-4 years leadership experience 1-2 years hands-on experience in healthcare setting Responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current applicable federal, and state guidelines. Work with Registered Dietitian to ensure patients are receiving and meeting daily nutritional expectations/as well as following dietary orders.

  • Conduct patient assessments to determine dietary needs and restrictions
  • Develop and implement individualized dietary plans for patients
  • Monitor and document patient progress and make necessary adjustments to dietary plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure dietary plans align with overall patient care
  • Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition and dietary guidelines
  • Provide guidance and support to patients with tube feeding or other specialized dietary needs
Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare or assisted living setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of tube feeding and other specialized diets is required
  • Familiarity with patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation processes is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals You will play a crucial role in supporting the nutritional needs of our patients.
