  • Position Summary:
  • As part of this team, you will collaborate with software engineers, architects, security partners, and platform teams to deliver Infrastructure, Identity, Security, Policy, and Observability as Code.

You will be empowered to eliminate operational toil, automate manual processes, improve platform reliability, and continuously evolve enterprise cloud capabilities. You will define and measure platform health through Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Error Budgets, participate in a global support model, and drive operational excellence across Bank of America's Google Cloud ecosystem.

  • Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Software Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Cloud Platform Engineering
  • Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating highly automated, production-grade cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Deep understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles, reliability frameworks, error budgets, incident management, and operational excellence
  • Proven experience developing infrastructure automation using Terraform, Python, Go, Java, or Ansible
  • Extensive experience with GCP services including: + Identity and Access Management (IAM) + Cloud DNS + Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) + Cloud Load Balancing + Cloud Storage + Compute Engine + Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) + Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring + Cloud Asset Inventory + Security Command Center
  • Experience managing complex identity and authentication ecosystems involving: Google Cloud IAM + Workforce Identity Federation + Active Directory + Ping Identity + Okta + SAML/OIDC-based Single Sign-On solutions
  • Experience operating secure cloud environments across multiple folders, projects, and environments at enterprise scale
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking including DNS, routing, private connectivity, firewalls, load balancing, service perimeters, and hybrid connectivity
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across global teams and managing competing priorities
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Proven experience implementing Security as Code and Policy as Code using Terraform Enterprise, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or similar CI/CD platforms
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) guardrails and governance controls for regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements in large financial institutions
  • Experience with Kubernetes platform engineering, container lifecycle management, and workload reliability on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
  • Experience with Linux administration, shell scripting, automation frameworks, and cloud-native troubleshooting
  • Experience implementing, monitoring, and supporting Google AI and data services including: + Vertex AI + Gemini Models + BigQuery + Cloud Storage + AI Platform services
  • Hands-on experience with cloud observability platforms including: Cloud Monitoring + Cloud Logging + Managed Prometheus + Grafana + Splunk + Dynatrace
  • Experience managing cloud resiliency, disaster recovery, and service reliability at enterprise scale
  • Knowledge of cloud governance, risk management, identity lifecycle management, and least-privilege access controls
  • Experience supporting highly regulated cloud environments subject to audit, compliance, and operational risk requirements
