Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing personalized care plans, and providing health coaching to promote optimal health outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of nutrition, dietetics, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in various settings, including acute care and long-term care facilities. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and dietary needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on diagnostic evaluations and patient goals. Provide health coaching to patients, focusing on weight loss, nutrition education, and lifestyle modifications. Supervise dietary department staff to ensure compliance with established protocols and quality standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize nutritional interventions. Manage tube feeding protocols for patients requiring enteral nutrition support. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress in EMR systems. Stay updated on the latest research in dietetics, geriatrics, and nutrition to provide evidence-based recommendations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or related field; registered dietitian credential preferred. Experience in acute care settings or long-term care facilities is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of physiology and its application in nutrition therapy. Previous supervisory experience within a dietary department is a plus. Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques related to nutrition assessment. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and support. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
