Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of clinical nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and patient-centered care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by developing individualized nutrition plans, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and supporting patients across various settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and identify dietary needs. Develop and implement personalized care plans that incorporate medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for individuals with chronic diseases or specific dietary requirements. Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling and health coaching to motivate behavioral changes and improve health outcomes. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate nutritional support and optimize patient care. Manage documentation efficiently using electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining accurate records of patient progress. Supervise dietetic assistants or interns, providing guidance on clinical nutrition practices and ensuring adherence to safety standards. Educate patients on nutrition support techniques such as tube feeding and dietary modifications for geriatrics or acute care populations. Stay current with advancements in clinical nutrition, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation methods to enhance service quality. Qualifications Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from an accredited program is required. Proven experience in clinical nutrition, including hospital or long-term care settings, with expertise in medical nutrition therapy (MNT). Strong knowledge of physiology, diagnostic evaluation, and nutritional analysis techniques. Demonstrated proficiency in managing electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and documentation procedures. Experience working with individuals with specific dietary needs such as geriatrics, weight management, or chronic disease management. Supervising experience within a healthcare environment is preferred. Excellent client communication skills combined with motivational interviewing techniques to foster positive behavioral change. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and adapt to diverse patient populations.
