NUTRITIONAL SERVICES.
+ Adheres to department policies and procedures, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/Commission on Dietetic Registration Code of Ethics, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Scope and Standards of Practice. + May provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) utilizing the nutrition care process including nutrition screening, assessment, reassessment and education/counseling. + May participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case conferences, team conferences and/or family meetings. + May provide nutrition information to health professionals and the community. + Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, referring to other team members as needed to optimize care. + Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames.CLERICAL.
+ Performs general clerical tasks, such as answering phones; updating patient appointments; or retrieving, entering, and revising patient electronic health records (EHR). + Documents in the EHR all patient care provided. SAFETY. + Maintains a clean, neat, and safe working environment. + Reports safety concerns to supervisor promptly. + Protects self and others by adhering to infection prevention policies and procedures.COMPLIANCE.
+ Maintains strictest confidence of all protected health information (PHI) and protects all PHI from accidental, intentional, or inappropriate disclosure. + Provides quality care in compliance with department standards, policies, and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulatory agencies to deliver the highest level of patient privacy and care. + Maintains RD/RDN registration and completes mandated continuing education requirements to meet facility and regulatory agencies accreditation requirements. + Participates in department Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement and patient satisfaction activities. + Demonstrates compliance with other department and organization requirements and responsibilities.EDUCATION

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE
- 2 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- :•Provides complex care using a strong understanding of human anatomy, pathophysiology, pharmacology, laboratory results, and medical terminology.
