The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition, dietetics, and management, with a focus on delivering high-quality nutritional care to residents or patients. As a Certified Dietary Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing care plans, supervising dietary staff, and ensuring compliance with health regulations while fostering a positive and efficient food service environment. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual dietary needs, including specialized diets such as tube feeding and diagnostic evaluation protocols. Supervise and mentor dietary staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards, proper food handling, and quality service delivery. Conduct patient assessments to determine nutritional requirements and adjust meal plans accordingly. Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring they meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate specific health conditions. Manage dietary department operations, including budgeting, inventory control, and procurement of supplies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate patient progress and modify nutrition strategies as needed. Ensure compliance with all health regulations, sanitation standards, and safety protocols within the food service environment. Provide health coaching to residents or patients to promote healthy eating habits and overall wellness. Skills Extensive knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, and dietetics principles relevant to healthcare settings. Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in dietary or food service departments. Strong understanding of assisted living environments and patient assessment techniques. Experience managing budgets, inventory control, and resource allocation efficiently. Ability to develop care plans that incorporate specialized diets such as tube feeding or other medical nutrition therapies. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and residents or patients. Familiarity with dietary management software and documentation practices related to care plans and diagnostics evaluation.
