Dietitian (Weekdays and Part time)
Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dietitian to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis, working weekdays. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will utilize your expertise in clinical nutrition, patient assessment, and nutrition support to promote health and well-being. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs, medical history, and dietary restrictions. Develop personalized care plans that incorporate medical nutrition therapy (MNT), weight management, chronic disease management, and specialized dietary needs. Provide nutrition counseling and health coaching to empower clients in making sustainable lifestyle changes. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and therapists to coordinate care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately, documenting assessments, interventions, progress notes, and follow-up plans. Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns in dietary practices, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols. Stay current with advancements in clinical nutrition, physiology knowledge, and diagnostic evaluation techniques to enhance service quality. Skills Proven experience in clinical nutrition, dietetics, or medical nutrition therapy (MNT). Strong knowledge of physiology, chronic disease management, and nutrition support techniques such as tube feeding. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide individuals through behavior change using motivational interviewing techniques. Experience working with individuals with specific dietary needs including geriatrics, long-term care residents, or patients in acute care settings. Skilled in supervising staff or students within dietary or healthcare departments. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management.
