Westpark is a two facility campus with 99 beds in total. This position is an inpatient Registered Dietitian opportunity. The dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy and educates and counsels residents and their families. The dietitian collaborates with other departments to optimize nutrition care and resident experience. Job Responsibilities Conducting timely nutrition assessments based on clinical and subclinical information including physical assessment and laboratory values, completing Care Area Assessments, developing and updating Care Plans and recommending appropriate nutrition intervention to maintain or improve nutrition status utilizing clinical software applications to facilitate care Monitoring and documenting on monthly/weekly/daily weights Completing timely and accurate MDS Participating in multi disciplinary team, quality of life and family care conferences to discuss resident nutrition status and/or implement or change diet order, enteral or parenteral feeding Providing nutrition education to discharging residents/families Completing departmental QAPIs and other departmental audits to assure regulatory compliance Communicating and collaborating with food service department Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's in nutrition or dietetics Maintains current license to practice dietetics in Ohio (LD) and active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) A practice emphasis in high acuity long term care including residents requiring TPN, dialysis and fluid restrictions, ventilators and tracheostomies Strong critical thinking skills
