Job Description

Avant-Guarde Healthcare is a fully integrated Long-Term Care Company (LTC) Healthcare Company. Avant-Guarde is currently hiring a Registered Dietician to run the operations of the Dietary Division of our Company. The position will oversee forty-one (41), skilled nursing facilities and interface with our fifteen (15) ancillary companies. Registered Dietitian Core Responsibilities Conduct nutritional assessments and create individualized meal plans for the residents we serve Provide/recommend medical nutrition therapy for residents with specific health conditions Educate physicians, residents, and families on dietary recommendations and healthy habits Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on treatment plans Monitor and evaluate resident progress, adjusting plans as needed Oversee food service operations to ensure meals meet nutritional standards and follow the dietary menu Oversee four dietary technicians as they provide dietary services to the long-term care facilities Make sure dietary documentation/orders are correctly entered into Point Click Care Interface with Regional MDS Team on Quality Measures/Five-Star/PDPM/Case Mix Index (CMI) Required Skills Proficiency in nutritional assessment and dietary planning Perform LTC Kitchen Audits Perform LTC Meal Service Audits Perform LTC Dining Room Audits Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy/services for various conditions Familiarity with food service management and safety regulations Proficient in Life Safety Standards as it relates to CMS Proficiency in electronic health record, Point Click Care Ability to analyze dietary data and research finding Strong communication and counseling abilities Empathy and interpersonal skills when working with diverse populations and the elderly Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Organizational skills for managing multiple patients or programs within long-term care Education Bachelor's degree in dietetics, nutrition, or related field (master's degree increasingly preferred) Completion of an accredited supervised practice program (dietetic internship) Passed the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) exam for dietitians Certifications Registered Dietician Certification Missouri Registered Dietitian License CPR certification may be required in clinical settings
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
