About us Enlighten Nutrition, Counseling, and Care is an evidence-based, all-inclusive practice that focuses on supporting individuals as they overcome some of the many challenges that arise in eating disorder recovery. We help individuals explore their own relationship around food, while they begin to let go of diet culture, guilt around food, and body image struggles. Recovery is about progress, rather than perfection. We here at Enlighten help shed light on the journey as opposed to the finish line, to not only help clients manage their eating disorder, but to help support clients as they enter recovery. Job Description Active Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration OR Board Certified Nutrition Specialist Must have a Bachelors or Masters in Nutrition Sciences or related field Exceptional communication and counseling skills Able to train in using an electronic health record and scheduling system. Must provide own computer. Able to obtain personal malpractice/liability insurance Experience working with clients struggling with an eating disorder. Ability to come in person to the Leesburg, VA office at least once a week as schedule allows. Available at least one evening a week. Responsibilities Counseling clients by listening to their needs, applying motivational interviewing when necessary, developing and communicating realistic goals, monitoring progress, and adjusting as necessary. Collaboration with other healthcare providers including, but not limited to therapists, primary care providers, and specialists. Maintaining appropriate and timely documentation of client services provided as well as communication records with other healthcare providers. Ability to maintain client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
