Job Overview We are looking for a Part Time Nutritionist for our autism center to see both internal center and external clients. This is a new role for the company. We are super flexible and hours and locations will vary between Buford and Pendergrass. We are looking for someone who understands the full spectrum of nutritional challenges and needs for children and teens with autism. A clinical understanding of nutritional and associated biomedical options is a plus. We are looking for someone on the cutting edge. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and identify specific dietary needs for individuals with autism. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans that align with medical recommendations and behavioral goals. Provide nutrition counseling to clients and their families, emphasizing practical strategies for managing dietary challenges associated with ASD. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and caregivers, to coordinate holistic care approaches. Monitor progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting nutrition plans based on diagnostic evaluations and ongoing assessments. Educate families on topics such as tube feeding techniques, dietary modifications, and nutrition support strategies tailored for children with special needs. Document all client interactions and care plans accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with privacy standards. Skills Current licensure, in good standing, with the Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Dietitians Proven experience in clinical nutrition, dietetics, or medical nutrition therapy (MNT), especially working with individuals with specific dietary needs. Strong knowledge of physiology related to digestion, metabolism, and chronic disease management relevant to pediatric populations. Knowledge and understanding of full spectrum of autism-related dietary needs, beyond standard diets. Skilled in health coaching techniques such as motivational interviewing to foster positive behavioral change. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and nutritional analysis accurately to inform care strategies. Experience collaborating with other therapists and caregivers on implementing nutrition plans effectively. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and client record management. Excellent client communication skills, demonstrating empathy and clarity when discussing sensitive health topics. Experience working with pediatric or geriatric populations preferred.
